According to Uttar Pradesh Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi, the duration of the yatra in UP has been decreased due to state board examinations for Classes 10 and 12.

The yatra was originally intended to travel through Uttar Pradesh from February 16 to February 26 before entering Rajasthan. However, it will now terminate on February 21 and reach Madhya Pradesh, skipping the western UP.

"Setting an example of sensitivity, Rahul Gandhi ji has prioritized public interest on numerous occasions. With the UP Board examinations beginning on February 22, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will be held throughout Uttar Pradesh from February 16 to February 21, according to Awasthi in a statement issued here.

"Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had cancelled his rallies in Bengal out of concern for the people during the COVID-19 period," a spokeswoman for the party stated.

Awasthi elaborated on the yatra's timetable in Uttar Pradesh, stating that it will enter the state through Varanasi on February 16 and arrive in Amethi on February 19 via Bhadohi, Prayagraj, and Pratapgarh.

On February 19, Gandhi will address a public meeting in Gauriganj, Amethi Lok Sabha seat, and the yatra will continue to Rae Bareli the next day before heading to Lucknow. He claimed the marchers, including Gandhi, are expected to stop there for the night.

According to the spokesperson, the yatra would depart from Lucknow on February 21 and arrive in Unnao. It will enter Kanpur through Unnao City and Shuklaganj. Following that, it will travel to Jhansi via Kanpur and Hamirpur before entering Madhya Pradesh on the same day.
