ARCHBISHOP CARLO MARIA FIGANÒ: "FOR TWO YEARS NOW WE HAVE BEEN WITNESSING A GLOBAL COUP D'ÉTAT"
Carlo Maria Viganò, born January 16, 1941 is an archbishop of the Catholic Church who served, among other things, as secretary general of the administration of Vatican City. He became best known for bringing two major Vatican scandals to public attention. These were the 2012 "Vatican Leaks" scandal, in which he revealed financial corruption in the Vatican, and a 2018 letter in which he accused Pope Francis and other church leaders of covering up allegations of sexual abuse against former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.
