Billionaire Bill Gates said at a security conference in Munich that the coronavirus, especially its omikron variant , is "unfortunately" a type of vaccine that provides both B and T cell immunity.
Gates added that the variant is spreading more widely among the world's population than the vaccine.
The Microsoft founder also warned the world about a new pandemic. “There will be another pandemic. It will be a different pathogen next time," he told Hadley Gamble.
He said we can fight that pandemic better if we invest in medical technology now. According to Gates, the world needs to develop and distribute vaccines faster in the future. Next time, he wants to vaccinate the world in six months instead of two years and develop a vaccine in just 100 days.
